"Fabulous recipe! I've been using this recipe for years from an old Southern cookbook I got before I was married. The only change is I use 2 tsp vanilla, or sometimes I'll use 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tsp almond. It freezes great, well-wrapped. I usually make it in loaf pans so I have one to eat and oen to freeze. Thanks for posting this!"

"Thanks for posting this! I've actually been making a recipe that's virtually identical to this one for years - I misplaced mine in a move, searched the internet frantically until I found this one here last winter, (then found my original page the next week - all the ingredients are virtually identical, must have come from the same cookbook. Thi..."

"I can't believe I haven't posted my review yet - this is the second year I've canned using this recipe. I wish I could give more than 5 stars - this is fabulous! It has enough 'heat' and great texture - is nice and thick. I canned 47 pints of this last year and only have 4 left! We ate most, gave some away as gifts. Everyone who tries it rave..."

"I've been making this recipe since last winter and realized I never posted my review, so here it is: Loved this! I prefer pecans, so I used them instead of the walnuts. I took it to an extended family party at Christmas and it was gone fast - people used it on sandwiches, with their turkey, we poured it over softened cream cheese and the kids s..."

"Fantastic stuff!! This is now our official granola recipe. I've made several batches already - my entire family including visiting parents and in-laws keep raving over it. We have it over ice cream & chocolate sauce, with yogurt, etc. I did do a couple of things differently - used 1 c of very coarsely chopped almonds instead of sliced, added a..."

"My entire family loved it! My son says I should give it 10 stars. Even my 'selective' eater begged for seconds. The second time I made it I was out of cream and used half-and-half instead, but it still turned out fantastic. Thanks for posting it - it's going in our family favorites notebook."

"Fabulous lemon flavor! A bit strong for my kids, too, so I rolled the cookies in 1/2 lemonade powder, 1/2 pearl sugar, which gave a nice crystal-y texture on top. Great recipe, this is in our family favorites binder now."

"Fantastic recipe!! I have made this twice since I found it and plan on making it tomorrow. My entire family loves this, but I did use a bit less of the chili powder than was called for. My husband likes it mild, so I add more to my own bowl. I cooked the leftovers down a but so it was pretty thick - we scooped it up with chips, rolled it into t..."

"Fanstastic!! Great flavor and texture, my family loved it, it froze like a charm. This is going in our family favorites binder. I added raisins to 1 loaf, since my husband doesn't like nuts. Next time I'm going to try addding chocolate chips in one loaf, or an orange glaze on top of another - there's a lot you can do with this recipe - thanks ..."
