    About Me

I have always loved cooking from the time I was very fact it is a bit of a family tradition for both the men and women to be good cooks--lucky for us. I'm not a huge internet/techno person, so I may only check in on this site periodically, especially having a baby, a full time job, and luckily, a supportive, helpful husband. Finding this site is one of the highlights of my vacation, and finding others who share a passion for good food all over the world is really exciting and fun.

    Favorite Foods

For the longest time, Julia Child has been one of my favorite chefs-- she really de-snobbed good cooking, and I've been making her Chocolate Bombe since I was about 10. Now I tend to gravitate to recipes that are either easy to cook, like crockpot; are seasonal, making the best of local or fresh ingredients; or that are from different countries, especially Mexico. Being in California, we have a lot of excellent ingredients available to us, and I love learning about new foods. Cheers!
