"Made as written, adding 1 dried Chipotle pepper & put all in the blender before simmering. We thought this was delicious. As we don't use a lot of Chili Sauce, but need it on hand for recipes that do, I halved the recipe, simmered until it seemed the right consistency, & have 3 pints canned. Most Chili Sauces I've purchased are a slightly sweet..."

"We loved this! Made as written, with the exception of using powdered ginger, as had no fresh on hand... I know fresh would have added a little zing. Will definitely add this to our repertoire. Thanks, Bergy!"

"This looked like it was right up my family's alley, and boy was it!! Raves all 'round! I didn't use low fat anything, either, as I used what was on hand (regular soups & cheese, also substituted diced pork for the chicken. Definitely filing as a favorite & will keep this in mind next time I need to take a dish somewhere!"

"Ooooooh! This turned out so flakey & scrumptious! I've made too many dud pie crusts - this is definitely going to be my "go to" recipe! Thank you Young! Surprisingly Lard is not a bad word. Check out how it stacks up next to Shortening, etc. NO Trans-fats! Don't be afraid to use it & let it transform your pastries!"

I desperately need to remember to use lard for the 'blanket' next time though... makes a flakier crust. Great change from the ..."

"Rave reviews all 'round. I, too, was looking for something to use left-over pork roast in. I ended up not using the jalopeno, as I was surprised it had enough "kick" as is. Served with nachos. Thanks Dustbunni!"

"Terrific recipe! Our family loved it! I sliced the loin in 1 inch slices, marinated, & grilled. Just great! Please forgive me, but I used rum (no whiskey in the house. I figured with the honey, the rum should be ok. I think the whiskey will add a whole 'nother dimension (which I will pick up to have on hand next time! Thank you!"
