    About Me

    I live in a small midwest town in eastern iowa. Right now I run a homeday care. I have worked in restaurants since i was 13, and cooked in almost all of them.I developed a love for cooking by watching my grandmother and mom in the kitchen. I am one of those cooks that doesnt measure,LOL and if you are the same, you know what I mean. I have a large garden and love to can and freeze every year.
    I have a huge collection of cookbooks, and love to read through them.....but my favorites are the ones that are in my 4 recipe boxes that are filled to the rim with wonderful things from the restaurants I've worked, and from friends and family...

    Favorite Foods

    I like good home cooking and comfort foods...those are always a favorite around here. I'm going to try and adapt a few of my restaurant recipes ( that are my originals) for the zaar crowd, but will take time as most are in my head......and NO MEASUREMENTS>>>LOL
