I've been on the Mediterranean 'diet' since birth. It's the healthiest, most 'diet'-friendly and diverse way of eating. Recently have decided to purchase more organic foods since additives are frighteningly high, it seems.
Anyway, I enjoy cooking from scratch. No fast food passes my lips. Family gatherings are always fun and food plentiful. Sometimes I need to adjust the amounts since there's always too much that I prepare and find (as I'm getting older) that I'm tired when the occasion arrives. I have to be more conscious of that.
So, in conclusion, it's easy to prepare healthy foods. The less ingredients, the better. It's good to taste the food without the sauces, etc... Back to basics is my way but it's no secret, I do have a sweet tooth.
