"These are so easy to make! And the outcome is outstanding. I didn't have any corn syrup on hand, so I just used some additional sugar and two tablespoons water. I also omitted the flour and cooked the sugar mixture until golden. If you like your bars crunchy you may toast the oats, seeds and nuts first, just as I did. Thank you for a great recipe!"

"This is gorgeous! The remark about toasting is crucial. So far I've been trying to decide between the dull taste of non-toasted sesame and the overpowering taste of the browned one. Now my tahini is aromatic and delicate. Thanks a lot for this recipe!"

"Very yummy and easy to make! I added less sugar, and had to add 1/2 cup of milk, because the batter was too thick. I'm going to make it again soon. thanks!"

"I've just tried this recipe and it seems far too sweet for me - I added no icing and used rather sour apples. I would also use butter instead of oil. Anyway, quite tasty, thanks!"
