I live in Melbourne with my Husband and our two gorgeous children and we have two naughty felines that we adopted from the cat shelter.
My Parents and extended family are from Europe, and like many European migrants, we had our own garden where we grew many vegies fruit and herbs.I have many good memories from my childhood of watching mum cook and helping with preparing the food. I enjoy cooking and entertaining family and friends at home with our favorite recipes.
Both my husband and I are passionate about music (especially heavy metal from Fenno-scandia)and travelling (Europe mainly). We have travelled to many near and far away places and make a point of sampling the local foods, meeting the local people and learning about their culture and history.
In my leisure I enjoy being outdoors and visiting local outdoor markets and checking out the crafts and produce on offer. I like to be a bit creative and when I get a chance I do a bit of scrapbooking too.
I make an effort to cook and eat healthy foods, so I prefer to make things from scratch rather than buying overly processed foods from the supermarket. I also prefer to use free range/bio dynamic/organic meats. The dishes I am famous for would have to be my soups, pasta sauce and risotto.
In general my favorite cuisines are Indian, Mexican and Mediterranean. My husband is an excellent cook and he loves to use lots of different spices and herbs in his cooking. I am not as adventurous when it comes to "experimental" cooking but I do enjoy eating most of his creations, and reviewing them :-)
