    Reviewed Pecan Tarts

     |  By CarrolJ

"I am only rating the crust for these little tarts. This made about 45 little tarts for me. I used my muffin tins after spraying with Pam. I tripled my regular pecan pie filling for the 45 tarts, which was perfect. Thanks for sharing!"

"Left out the celery for personal preference and replaced 1 can of the black beans with a can of pintos with jalapeno peppers. Used 1 mini orange and 1 mini yellow bell peppers in place of the green bells and did not measure the onion, just chopped one up in the mini processor, along with the bell peppers. Great flavor. Next time, may roast the ..."

"Wonderful crust! Did not use the pie recipe, but instead used this crust with the Fresh Peach Brown Sugar Pie found on this site. Yummm. UPDATE: Again, such a wonderful crust! This time, used the pie recipe today as well, adding 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon and a pinch of nutmeg to the filling. Yummy, yummy, yummy"

"Very tasty - just like mom used to make! Added a little more sugar, as Himself likes his cornbread sweeter than most, and did not have a cast iron skillet so just added the melted butter to the liquids and sprayed a casserole with Pam instead. Thanks for sharing"

"This is such an easy recipe and the instructions are so clear, it was a breeze. After proofing the yeast, mixed it all in the mixer and used the dough hook just a couple of minutes. Used 1 cup whole grain flour, as suggested by the chef. Baked for 10 minutes before adding toppings, then it only needed another 10. Next time, might add some Itali..."

"Used boneless sirloin steak pieces and cooked in the oven at 170, as my crockpot cooks too high. DH does not care for mushrooms, canned or otherwise, so used cream of chicken. Tender meat and a yummy gravy. Thanks for sharing. Update - tried again with London broil and that needed to cook at 250 all day or 300 for half. Still great flavor and ea..."
