Reviewed Pork Roast - Old Fashion Way (Use Cast Iron Dutch Oven)
"This was a great way to make my pork roast today. Was moist tender an yummy!. I ended up not being able to use it when I pulled it out of the oven but wanted it to be warm when we came home so I popped it into our crock pot on warm. I blended the cooked onion and garlic into my drippings before thickening them. I used two beef bullion cubes instead..."

Reviewed Banana Oatmeal Cooky/Cookies
"Good cookies! I am cooking up a bunch of over ripe bananas this week and this recipe was just the ticket today! I added craisins (dried cranberries) and flaked almonds. Next time I will probably make my drops a bit bigger as they didn't flatten out as some drop cookies do. At 400 the temp was too high for my oven cooking on the middle shelf, the bo..."

I am a wife and mother. DD is was born in Jun '06 and will eat anything (she doesn't like Avocado, and hasn't since she started solids) she eats what we eat no problem, even the spicy hot stuff!!! She's taken to saying "It's dood mum, really dood!" and she will have a bite look at me and want to cuddle me and says "I love you too, mum!" now that's why I cook.... It's wonderful to make my family happy with the food I prepare for them! DH is what my family would call picky but after feeding him for 10 yrs now I know he would rather enjoy something than just stuff his face with anything! (He suffers from chronic pain so sometimes it can be a real effort to eat for him) So he has greatly helped me to become a better cook! I thank him for that. It's extremely gratifying when he enjoys a meal because then I know it's good!!
I was born and raised in eastern Iowa but have been living in Australia for 10 yrs now. It's taken me a few years to adjust to what ingredients are available etc here, so I had a few years of bad cooking disasters LOL! But I make up for it now!!!
I am a SAHM and to get me out of the house I've been doing Avon and Tupperware. I just started Tupperware late November with the aim to get more Tupperware cuz I love the stuff!!! I want my pantry completely modular mates!!
I have heaps of cookbooks and use them more for entertainment then actually cooking from... isn't that pathetic... it' s just so much easier to come on Zaar and do a search for what I want. Growing up my mum had cookbook called "Country Fair Cookbook" All recipes in this book are Blue Ribbon winners from fairs around America prior to it's publication in 1975. Anyhow I found a copy of it on Ebay a few years ago while I was back in the states visiting my family. So that's probably my most prized cookbook and I really should try more recipes out of it! My newest addition to my cookbook collection is Easy Slow Cooker Cookbook by Barbara C. Jones.
I have a few favorite Celebrity Chefs:
Kylie Kwong
Jamie Oliver
Mario Batali
Bobby Flay
Anna Olson
The Swedish Chef (The Muppets)
I love to watch Iron Chef America and Masterchef!

My all time favorite cuisine is Mexican!
My favorite dessert would be cheesecake.
My favorite main meal is Vegetable Lasagna
My Favorite fast food would have to be a Whopper with Cheese from Burger King/Hungry Jacks
My favorite soda Dr. Pepper (good thing you can't get it easily in Australia because I love it I can't stop drinking it... and all that sugar is no good for me!)
I love coffee too... but not in it's pure form... I have to have sweetener and milk/cream!
