"This was an *awesome* recipe. We made it for a friend earlier this year who was observing Passover. The only thing we had to change was the butter to olive oil. We used scallions because they're easier to deal with than leeks. Pistachios are the perfect touch. I'm pulling this one out to make for Thanksgiving. Thanks for a great recipe!"

"This has become a holiday standard in my family since I discovered the recipe three years ago. My brother-in-law wipes the pot clean! The teenagers also love it, and I make it when they come to visit each summer. I use Frank's Red Hot for the hot sauce, and a 12-oz bottle works just right. Thanks, Rita~!"

    Favorite Foods

My favorite foods...too many to mention. I love food in general, with sushi, microbrew/imported beers, hearty bread and chocolate being anytime favorites. When I'm hungry, I think first of fresh vegetables.

I'm famous for my red velvet cake, my two-potato gratin, and my peanut soup with rice and scallions.

My favorite restaurant...again, too many to mention. I can find something to enjoy almost anywhere, including fast food.

There's a relatively concise group of things I won't eat, so this is a short list. I'm not fond of things flavored with rose water; I won't eat anything that's still alive; rotting food has no appeal.
