"I've always loved beets, but now that I've tried them baked like this, I realize that this is the best way to cook them no matter how you eventually dress them. Everything is better about the beets with this method, from the texture, to the flavor, to the sweetness, and I bet there are even more vitamins because they just taste richer. I'll never ..."

"Good recipe! I chose it because I was running behind in my preparations for guests and I need to make the easiest recipe I could find and this was it! As has been stated in earlier reviews, you'll need to cut the sugar in half and add 50% more fruit. I didn't do this (because I didn't read the other reviews until now and found it way too sweet. "This was so much better than I expected! The chicken was as moist as I've ever made it. And oh so yummy. Not too sweet at all. I even made a gravy out of the pan drippings for my mashed potatoes and that was a great bonus (ok, the gravy was a bit sweet, but still delicious. Very easy to make too. Oh, I should say that I skipped the breading and j..."

"Yummy! I have to say that I didn't follow it to the letter. I added celeriac, fresh thyme, Parmesan rind (to deepen the broth, and a bit of cayenne. Also, I substituted macaroni for the potatoes. This is indeed a very satisfying soup as jo_mama claims. And I definitely second the necessity of the bacon."
