    About Me

Living in Melbourne, which is an amazing food city. Passionate about food, and trying to balance this with being a healthier being.

I am a collector of cookbooks, and am especially fond of vintage and retro ones. Not neccessarily to cook out of, but love the pictures, bad food concepts and completely different world view. Particular favourites are the Australian Hostess Cookbook (circa. 1970) and a Betty Crocker from the 50's. The advice on 'how to live' is priceless! In a similar vein check out these 2 websites:

    Favorite Foods

main food influences are middle eastern, mediterrean and indian.

Current food fad is wheat and dairy free. For the most part this is just not a problem (and a suprisingly good way to shed some kilos - who knew!) Also trying to eat more fish and wholefoods.

Loving moroccan flavours and trying to eat more pulses (chickpeas rock)
