I am a mother of a 2 yr old who keeps me busy. Sometimes that means I can't cook like I want, but it's worth it to see him as happy as he is. I love exploring new ideas on old favorites and making my own recipes. I am addicted to baking and I have finally learned to keep my cravings under control while losing weight. It has encouraged me to find a healthier way to make my favs. I love traditional southern food, but hate all the fat and calories. So not every night of the week, but as a nice meal every once in awhile, I'll go all out. But most nights it's a healthier version of southern food. I can't stand it when I see someone who has potential as a cook get frustrated because the recipe didn't work out for them. Most of the time it's because they didn't read it right, or they made a shortcut that shouldn't have been made, or the recipe just wasn't that good to begin with. I hope to learn alot more and am happy to share my current knowledge. All you have to do is ask!
Southern food. Comforting ooey, gooey, home made macaroni and cheese. I love pastries, cakes and cookies. My most popular dish is the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. I love bbq and can't get enough of it. It's as southern as you can get because it's cooked so slow just like the days are long.
