    About Me

My job is in legal management (yee haw...working with attorneys all day...but it works for me), but I love to cook. One of my best friends has her own catering & home chef business so she's always sharing fun new recipes. I'm not a professional, but I enjoy trying new things and having company as taste testers. Good friends have to love you even if the recipe doesn't work...right?
I found this site looking for a recipe for pheasant. A friend of my was hunting last week and gave it to me. It's been so long since I cooked any wild game, so I needed some help. I'm trying a pheasant recipe and a wild rice recipe from the site to start (thanks! contributors).

    Favorite Foods

Well, I'm mostly Norwegian by heritage, so I enjoy cooking traditional foods...challenging and time consuming as they are. My lefse always turns out yummy. As do all the desserts, although I'm not sure that's due to my cooking skill or the fact that they're generally made of butter, butter, butter, cream, sugar and a little flour.
When I was growing up my parents belonged to a "gourmet club" that met every month to try foods from different countries. Considering we were in a small western town, we sometimes had to ad lib, but it encouraged me to try new things.
I love Thai food and haven't ever really cooked it, so that's next on my list.
