I am recently widowed, after 40 year of marriage (26.9.2010). Raymond had been sick for some time.
Doesnt seem to much more to say about that.
most of the info and photos are old, but I havent had the energy to change them, but I will.
Everyone seems to have a different method when it comes to giving a rating.
I tend to think that everyone has different tastes, and should be able to pick what they like. (e.g. I wouldn't choose to make Moose steaks, cause I cant get them fressh :)
If I pick wrongly, I wont rate the recipe.
If the recipe comes together well, but I added a spice I like, OR tastes SOOOO good, it gets 5 stars.
If the recipe didnt cook up well, and I had to tweak a lot, then 4 stars. I will also give 4 stars for a "comfort food" recipe, but that doesnt mean it wasnt good, just not a recipe that is super special.
If it really doesnt want to cook up, and tastes yuk, or very boring, and I cant fix it, then 3 stars, I rarely go lower.
I am now a seasoned traveller :) I went to the USA late 2005 to spend time with my eldest daughter Kate and her new baby Gemma. 2007, I visited again to be there when Fletcher was born. Their photo is the bottom one. Kate is pregnant wih her third, due at the end of April 2009.
Kate is a member here, Chef #60293, but she usually depends on me to find things she will like, hence the cookbook with her picky on it.
I have just spent time with my 2nd daughter, Samantha, and my 2 beautiful grand daughters, Grace and Jennifer. Reuben Mark was born July 2008, but he hasnt got a picture on "my page" yet.
Its a 4 hour drive to Biloela, but we go up whenever we can.
Samantha is a member too, Chef #141770, but like Kate, leaves me to pick her recipes.

I love to cook everything!!
I like Asian style cooking, and Greek.
Curries with all the sambols, but not much into sweets.
