    "Soft, moist cookie full of flavor. Due to some allergies in our house, we had to modify the recipe by using raisins instead of chocolate chips and 1/4 cup applesauce instead of the egg. Otherwise, delish!"

    "This soup was rich and creamy- decadent, I would say. I made this for our friends that were driving through town (on their way home to FL), and even though they were two hours late for lunch, the soup kept nicely on the back burner. I made the soup as directed, sparing no expense when it came to calories- full fat half and half, cheese- bring it! F..."

    About Me

    I live in Concord, NC (via Jacksonville, FL, via Winter Park, FL, via Bellefonte, PA, via Springfield, PA, via Seoul, South Korea) with my husband and willing taste tester.

    I love using RecipeZaar to use what I have on hand and I also like using it to try new and different recipes. I enjoy finding tasty, healthy dishes that can be made ahead of time and then frozen for future use(I wouldn't say that I do OAMC, but perhaps OAWC). My weeknights go much smoother with some pre-planning!

    Favorite Foods

    I LOVE food! I go to great lengths for a good meal and I will try just about any food, at least once. I LOVE rice (could have to do with my Asian heritage :-), and anything Italian (could have to do with my Italian heritage- I'm adopted ;-)

    I don't think that I'm "famous" for any one particular dish, but I can make pretty much any Italian dish with the best of them (lasagna- all variations, eggplant parm.). Family holidays are not complete without our family favorites- PA Dutch potato stuffing (the secret is in the added broth to the stuffing before you put it in the oven), Sweet Potato pie, Christmas Strata.... the list could go on and on and on....

    My rating scale is as follows:

    5 stars- LOVED it and will use over and over and over again! This recipe is worth the effort and has earned a permanent place in my binder-full-of recipes. In order the get this rating, not only does the recipe have to taste top-notch, but the presentation must be impeccable

    4 stars- Very good and also worthy of a permanent place in my cookbook.

    3 stars- Okay, a good stand-by but not out of this world.

    2 stars- Did not like the taste, the directions were not clear and the presentation was poor.

    1 stars- Did not like, did not like, will never try again.
