    About Me

During the time I got interested in cooking, there weren't a lot of cookery books available for vegetarian Indian cooking. My parents were both good cooks. My dad was a self taught chef and was always asked to cater at Indian weddings. My father in law too was a chef and I learnt a lot of traditional cooking by watching both my dads cook. I was always asking them for recipes and tips. They shared a lot of their cooking "tricks" with me. I am still a traditional cook and would like to share my style of cooking with my friends. I had always wanted to write a cookery book but never got the time. Now as I grow older, I don't need as much sleep. I am using the time I have to cook lovely dishes for my family and at the same time keep a record of what I cook. I don't do a lot of baking and I am going to make it my goal to learn to bake a few cakes this year. Cooking is only fun if you can share what you cook with people you enjoy being with. I feel very blessed that my family are very supportive of my hobby.
