I like to bake cookies and cupcakes to give as gifts to my friends, I like making treats for my co-workers.
I bake cookies for the same group of people every month so I like to try new recipes. If I like them then I keep the recipe in my cookbook, if not I remove it. I have a few hard copy cookbooks in which I have graded the recipes to remind me which ones were excellent or good so that I will make them again.
. Siince I am Chinese, I usually am cooking Cantonese or Shanghainess dishes for myself and for my guests when I have dinner parties. Since I live in a small studio apartment , I only have 4-7 guests My grandmothers and parents taught me how to cook Chinese dishes. However, I do look up recipes when someone mentions that they have a favorite Chinese dish that I have never cooked. I always change a few things in the recipe to my taste , but the recipe gives me the basics. .
