"I made this for my teenager because he did not want cake and he only had a short time for an informal celebratory goodie. I used two tablespoons of coconut oil instead of the shortening. I also added some chocolate chips on top and spread them around, which made a very nice topping that was superb with some decorative icing and really made the c..."

"Thank you for this recipe! I made these for myself and one of my sons as we are the baked cheese stick eaters in the family. I followed the recipe exactly as stated with perfect results. I was lucky to get one or two of these from my son; he just inhaled them!"

"My husband went out and got me a new crockpot; it was a more than subtle message that he wanted me to make him some pot roast! I picked your recipe because he likes horseradish, whole grain mustard and everything else listed! The only thing I changed was to add a little bit of celery at my husband's request. I would also suggest using a little less sugar, but the recipe seemed close enough to the original. Thanks for the recipe!"

"I did make several changes, such as I did use half water-half milk, bread flour instead of all purpose, margarine instead of shortening, 2 teaspoons of yeast instead of 3, and I baked these at 350 degrees, as my oven is fickle! The family really enjoyed them."

"This is right up my husband's alley. I save time by using leftover taco beef/refried bean mixture from one of our taco nights. Extremely easy basic recipe. Great with the addition of corn or other extras as well."

"Thank you for this healthy recipe, SaraFish! I am not a vegetarian, but I have been eating more and more meatless meals. This recipe is so versatile and easy. I made it one time with salsa instead of tomato sauce and it was great. I made it again for dinner tonight and added the fresh garlic and carrots someone else suggested; another great va..."
