Reviewed Vanilla-Scented Granola
"Great! My family loved the crunchiness of the granola. I also substituted light olive oil for the vegetable oil. Instead of all honey, I used about half pure maple syrup. For the nuts we had pecans on hand, so I used these. It was some of the best granola we've had. Loved the vanilla!"

Reviewed Crock Pot Chicken Noodle Soup - Dairy Free
"This soup was very good and comforting during the freezing weather we were having. Also, had some sick ones and they enjoyed it, too. Will make it again sometime. I left the accent out and added some extra spices, Spike. Also cooked the noodles separate and added to each bowl so they wouldn't get mushy. Thank you."

I love food.com! It is so fascinating to see and sample the many recipes that people from all over the world submit. It is a happy place to spend some time. Making Italian food(especially lasagna) and all sorts of salads is something I enjoy doing. Salmon is one of my favorite healthy foods and it has been fun to make a collection of different catergories of foods to try. I have a gluten sensitivity and enjoy trying new recipes that are gluten-free. I don't really have a favorite cookbook, but I do love collecting recipes of all different kinds. Dabbling in the art of making raw foods is a new area I have been experimenting in. I am thankful to have found this site under the original name of RecipeZaar. It helps me to be a better chef when I am able to "borrow" other recipes from my fellow "friends" on the Zaar. It is also a lot of fun to meet people from all over the world who are such great cooks! It is my goal to be a healthy individual and I have found many new recipes that help me on here.
I also desire to honor the Lord Jesus, sharing his love with others. We have 8 children. I now home school 4 children. Four have already graduated from our home school. Two of those have graduated from college. We all enjoy cooking or eating. Keep the great ideas and recipes coming!
Salads, salmon, grilled chicken and veggies. Italian, Mexican, oriental cooking and of course American are all my favorites.
Good, rich desserts.
