Cooking is just one of my ridiculously large lists of hobbies.
I also love writing, reading, painting, building, singing, designing, philosophy, physics, politics, animals . . . the list goes on. I'm particularly passionate about science; I love both physics and biology.
For me, baking is a way to relax. Whenever I'm tense, I crave some time to manifest my creativivity into some new--sometimes strange--dish. Long, long, long term, I'd love to be able to retire and do a small cafe-type business, but to be honest with myself, I don't know that that hope will last through medical school.
I like flavor combinations-- chile chocolate, fruit and cheese, pepper berry jelly, etc. I also love trying differernt ethnic dishes, especially middle eastern and asian.
