    About Me

I enjoy gardening a great deal. My cooking revolves around the garden all during the summer months and even as I am harvesting I am planning for the following year. There is always change in a garden.

My favorite cookbook is a litle metal box of recipes that I have collected from friends over 44 years of married life and moving from place to place. Now when I look through my recipe box it is often a nostalgic trip through the years to fun places and great friends and precious experiences.

I do not have a favorite dish to cook but I thoroughly enjoy cooking all the fresh veggies from my organinc garden. I usually pick, wash, prepare, and put on the table within a few hours. Freshness is a delight.

    Favorite Foods

October Beans fresh from the garden
okra and onions baked in the oven
my husband's utterly delightful fried chicken
blueberries used in as many ways as possible fresh or frozen from our shrubs.
    ham and potato casserole
    and many many more!
