"I can't wait to try the recipes from this episode. I usually don't post reviews before trying the recipe, but you can't miss with this. Gerhard was so straightforward and provided so many great ideas. I feel like I was treated to a free master pastry class."

"I used this cake as a base for strawberry shortcake. It was incredibly moist and fluffy. This will be my go -to- recipe for yellow cake now. I didn't have buttermilk on hand so I used regular 2% milk, scalding it slightly. It worked perfectly. Thanks, Zusie-Q."

"Absolutely the best chocolate cake recipe I've ever made and I'm a chocolate fiend. Its very simple and easy to throw together. I took the advice of others and heavily greased and waxpapered the pans. They turned out fine. The results were rich and moist with a dense crumb.
