I'm a part time surgical dental assistant, and a full time mommy of two beautiful girls. Still deciding which job is harder???? (smile) I've grown into enjoying preparing and serving meals...it's not something that I started out really liking to do. But as I get older..(not that much older, mind you!) I've really changed my tune.
Food to me is more than just "nourishment". It's a delight! It brings families and friends together, stirs up old memories, and makes new ones! Preparing it gives me time to meditate alone, or time to bond with my baby girls. AND>>>> it keeps my hubby happy.
Having multiple ethnic backgrounds in my home has added variety to my palate!
I myself could live on collard and mustard greens and cornbread ! (really!) I've learned a few Korean recipes for my hubby....Marinated beef bulgogi is one that I really enjoy myself.
Not sure that I'm "famous" for anything, but have been complimented for my light chocolate swirl bananna bread, and ginger cookies. Also really like making a homemad "roca" type candy....that's so. so easy and ADDICTING! Like changing up pork tenderloins with various flavors, and PASTA is always a winner with my girls.
Don't eat out much....but love Indian foods and Korean BBQ.
