"Wow this was creamy and delicious! I ended up substituting half milk for the half and half to make it a little healthier and it was still thick and creamy tasting. "The flavors of this were spot on! I subsituted brandy for congac since that's what i had. I did find that a lot of the broth boiled away so i had to keep adding water but perhaps I just prefer soupy vs. stewy. Regardless, this made a completely rich and satisfying meal!"

"Wonderful texture...they were so crispy on the outside and soft - almost mashed potato like in the middle. These were swimming in butter though! "Wonderfully moist cake and flavorful cake! I did the layer method and only cooked for about 32 minutes. I did find the frosting slightly too sweet so added about 1/4 cup of cocoa powder and a dash more of milk in the end. Everyone raved about this one!"
