"This recipe is, in fact, a rule for making the very popular Romanian cornmeal mush, or as it's called...mamaliga. The addition of goat cheese sounds good..so does lots of sour cream to top it off. Good luck."

"This "memorial meal" for the pig is great, and needs only some salt & pepper, mamaliga, and a wedge of fermented cabbage (varza to complete it. Good eats! Thanks for posting. Now where's the smoked sausage?"

"Have made this for years, and only thing I added was grated lemon rind, which cut the sweetness down and made for a great taste. Try it with some grated orange rind for a good change. It's any easy, quick and delicious pie. Worth all five stars!"

"Have been making this for many years. I do cut back on the sugar to 1/2 cup and add about 1 tsp. of grated lemon rind in addition to the vanilla. You can also try it with grated orange rind. Great either way!"

"I'd suggest that you try cutting the mush with a string or unflavored dental floss. Works great, and no knives to wash!"
