I love to cook. I try at least one new recipe a week. The last of my 4 children is preparing to leave the nest so I cook differently now the the boys(vacuums with teeth) are gone. I have the time to explore my cookbook collection (over 1000) I have been trying new and different dishes. I read voraciously and like to hike. I enjoy travelling and have been doing more of it.
I go on binges, experimenting with an ingredient, course, cuisine or method. The kids loved the cookie period, were not so fond of the Greek summer but were tolerant of the sundried tomato and quesadilla stages. My children are turning into marvelous cooks on their own. In the winter I tend to cook from recipes but in the summer I freewheel it. Summer at the cottage tends to be full of good food and good company.
