Reviewed Salmon Cakes with Lemon-Caper Yogurt Sauce

"These were really tasty. I used leftover salmon I had. In lieu of chives I used chopped green onions and panko bread crumbs instead of crackers. Made my own yogurt sauce with fresh lemon juice, garlic, dill, chopped mint and a tad of olive oil. My husband loved them. Served along side roasted asparagus and rice pilaf. Made a great dinner!""

    Reviewed Traditional Southern Deviled Eggs

"NOPE! these aren't tasty at all. TOO sweet with the pickle relish. My mom and gramma were from the south and they made the best deviled eggs, hands down. Which didn't have sweet relish in it. Just basic mayo, mustard and seasoning salt and a slight pinch of white vinegar. I should have stayed true and made their recipe but decided to shake things ""

    Reviewed City Ham

"OK, I made this ham for New Year's using a Costco/Kirkland brand spiral cut ham. There in lies the problem...spiral cut. The ham came out REALLY dry and basically just fell apart. I was so dissapointed. It was a mess. It tasted good, from what we could tell, but it was too dry. So next time when I try it again, I will not be using a spiral cut and""

    Reviewed French Toast

"This had excellent flavor but what I did wrong was use fresh country white bread, resulting in too soggy of french toast. It's all I had on hand at the time. Next time I will use a sturdier bread such as challah or french bread. I added cinnamon and some vanilla to the mixture and a splash of grand marnier. Even despite the semi soggy results, it ""

    Reviewed Chocolate Pistachio Fudge

"This is my first time making this fudge. Couldn't find 70% chocolate so I used Ghiradelli 60% dark. Then I added salted/roasted pistachios. YUM! Gave it a really good sweet and salty combo that was to die for. I also sprinkled a touch of sea salt over the top while it was cooling. Sensational! I gave these away in my christmas tins with Alto Brown""

Reviewed Not Your Mama's Green Bean Casserole

"Honestly I never really understood why the famous mushroom soup green bean casserole is so popular. I personally never cared for it. Tastes too canned, for lack of a better word. I prefer a more home-cooked fresh taste. I found this recipe and decided to do a trial run before the big T day. WOW, really good. I tried it twice. First making my onion""

    Reviewed Herb Crusted Pork Tenderloin

"Very good. I added a bit more fresh garlic to the paste and also added 1/2 C water to 1/2 C white wine and poured it in the bottom of the pan as it was roasting. Made a apricot/white wine sauce and topped the pork with it. Served along side sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts with bacon & pine nuts and homemade applesauce. YUMMY..husband loved it!""

Reviewed Mel Boller (Danish Soup Dumplings)

"My mom made these all the time while I was a kid growing up. She dropped them in hot chicken or vegetable soup and they were so good. This recipe is exactly the same as her recipe. SO good..now I am off to make some chicken soup and bollers!"
