    About Me

I love fresh, real food, as local as possible and preferably grown just outside my door. It's easy to make delicious food with high quality ingredients. I am not usually a fan of slosh pots of stuff, casseroles etc, and prefer fairly discreet ingredients. I think food should be gorgeous as well as yummy and I like small portions that look pretty. Having said all of that, I do like a nice pot of soup now and then. I do not eat wheat or any gluten and focus mostly on vegetables/plant foods but do eat occasional meat and even more occasional dairy.

    Favorite Foods

uni - absolutely my favorite thing on earth. Salty, spicy and acidic foods, possibly all mixed together (thinking of really good fresh salsa, or kalamata olives, or anchovies in a salad...yum). Love greens, especially the slightly bitter ones with shallots and sesame seeds and lemon squeezed over at the end. Dark chocolate, preferably a bit salty. Fresh tomatoes in season. Crisp, tart apples. One of the few dairy things I crave is real yogurt, unsweetened, full cream.
