I love to eat and cook, I learned to cook from an early age by "helping" my mom in the kitchen anytime I could. Growing up in the south and being of Croatian descent my diet consisted of a lot of high protein meals. Unfortunately they were also a lot of battered fried foods and hight starch content. Something had to give and it happened to be my waste line. I was overweight most of my life because of the diet I was accustomed to. About four years ago I tried Atkins diet. I lost over 60 pounds in a little over a year and have kept it off. I've never felt better and my last physical concurs that I've never been healthier.I am now strictly a low carb eater and most of my recipes and food thought revolve around preparing and eating dishes that fit my eating lifestyle.
I love pretty much all seafood but especially shellfish. My favorite dish to prepare would probably be my Shrimp Scampi based on a recipe form a little Italian restaurant that used to be in San Diego called Giulios.
