    About Me

    Semi-retired long haul trucker, drive locally 35 hrs/wk instead of 70. My favorite cookbook is "Society of farm women of pennsylvania." cookbook. My cooking passion is the type of Pa Dutch food that I ate as a child.
    Using this cookbook and others I have re-created most foods that I loved in the 40's and 50's.

    Favorite Foods

    I love making beef and chicken pot pie, Pa Dutch style. This is beef or chicken with very good homemade broth and either peas (chicken) or lima beans(beef)and and potatoes and homemade noodles rolled a little thicker than usual. My family thinks I am a genius cook.
    My favorite restaurant is "The Italian Villa" at Lancaster, Pa. They have a killer Fra Diavolo, a spicy red sauce over clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, over fettuchini.
