    About Me

I am a homeschooling mother of five, including 12 year old twins. I am originally from England, and love to try out the traditional British recipes on this site! I enjoy photography, fitness & strength training, candlemaking, reading, gardening, and cooking/baking. My favorite cookbook? The Food.com website!

Update: My new hobby is metal detecting, and I've been doing it regularly since Christmas 2007. I've already found some interesting items during my hunts, including gold rings and bracelets, silver rings, Indian head nickels, silver war nickels, and wheat pennies. I've gained a lot of knowledge in local history through my hobby, and it's also serving to keep me fit, with all the climbing, bending, and digging! If you're looking for a hobby that gets you outside in the fresh air, and gets the limbs moving, this is it! The treasure is nice, too!!

    Favorite Foods

CHOCOLATE! (But it has to be good quality chocolate, such as Belgian or Swiss.)
I miss all the British confections I can't find over here, such as Flake Bars, Chocolate Cream, Aero Bars, Sherbet Fountains, Walnut Whips, etc. But all that being said, I try not to nibble on too much chocolate nowadays, as I've been striving to eat healthily. (Just a little piece once in a while!)

My favorite cuisine is Italian, Greek, British and American. I'm particularly partial to Greek cakes and pastries, but one glance at a slice of baklava and I'm immediately ten pounds heavier!!!

I'm well-known in these parts for my Greek Pastitsio, Crockpot Meatballs & Spaghetti, and English scones and crumpets.
