    About Me

    I love food! I believe naming your recipe is just as important as the ingredients. If it sounds good, the kids will have a positive attitude towards it, before they even take a bite.
    I'm a stay at home mom of three (twins almost 16 years old and an 8-year old). I'd rather cook than clean.
    I spend hours pouring over my cookbook collection and even more time with my cooking magazines, cutting and pasting recipes into my own binders.
    If I had a month off, I'd take my family to Florida and Mexico. We'd sit on the beaches and eat fresh seafood forever! And of course, DH and I would enjoy endless Coronas and Tequila Sunrises while our very competant nanny watches the kids.

    Favorite Foods

    I love to cook anything that will grab you with its aroma when you walk in the door. I remember that from childhood. Beef stroganoff is one of my all time favs as well as wiener schnitzel with gravy so good you could eat it like soup!
    I don't believe in margarine or low-fat mayo or sour cream. Fat gives your dish flavor!! Also, I love spices. If you ever get a chance to go to a Tastefully Simple home party...do! They have all sorts of spices and mixes that will make life easier and yummier! Or try out Penzey's spices (if they are not in your town, go to their website...yum!)
    When I go out, I get seafood of some kind. I have a phobia about cooking seafood at home, so I load up on shrimp, salmon and whatever else I can find. My favorite restaurant is Fishbones a cajun place near my house. They always mix ingredients you'd never think would go together and they are awesome!
