    About Me

I think of myself as a typical suburbanite. Husband, four children (ages 2 1/2 to nine), minivan, active in church and the children's school. No white picket fence around the front yard, yet, though! I enjoy scrapbooking, reading, brisk walking for exercise, word games, browsing through a thesaurus, cooking, and I wish I had a little more time to bake. "365 Chocoalte Recipes", "365 More Chicken Recipes", and BH&G "Casseroles" are sure to have one or two winners. Generally, nothing annoys me except cell phones, and children who whine when they've been told "no".

    Favorite Foods

I enjoy almost all food - the reason for walking briskly - especailly dark chocolate, gin and tonics, HOMEMADE cheesecake, steak with lots of pepper, BLTs, tamales, cookie dough, ribs with an unfiltered beer......the list goes on and on. My philosophy on food is "I'm here for a good time, not a long time!" I still don't like lima beans, liverwurst, or pickled herring. The children can usually talk me into making a chicken curry casserole, and my husband a chicken pot pie. If I have the time for making it, my family and others drool at the anticipation of a white chocolate cheesecake or apple pie. My husband and like to try new restaurants, but we're more likely to go to an old favorite such as McCormick and Schmick's or the Capitol Grill.
