"Five stars because proportions and timing were spot on. Thanks, Kittencal! I used red potatoes from the farm and hot Italian sausage. I added a box of frozen spinach and some dried basil to the sauce, and used fontina for the cheese. It was my husband's favorite Florentine soup in casserole form! I have half the meat, sauce and cheese packed ..."

"I used about 3 T. less olive oil than called for (the original amount just sounded like a lot and the recipe turned out great. I served this with the marinated salmon recipe I've been making for years. Wonderful dinner, and leftovers were great, too."

"Trying to pick a veggie casserole-type recipe to make, I finally settled on this one once I saw that some of my favorite recipe-posters liked it so much. And I made the right choice since this is now a new favorite of mine and my husband (honestly, we're both nuts for it!. I had forgotten to buy basil, so I'm so glad Chef #426179 (in her review..."

"Fantastic results! I strayed slightly from the recipe by using a pre-shredded Italian blend of cheeses, added marjoram and garlic powder, and used half plain breadcrumbs and half old-fashioned oats. Next time I plan on using all oats (I like the little extra nutrition. I made the balls about the same size Kathleen recommends, and I got 24 tota..."

"Everyone loved this. I doubled the recipe and, even though 20 cloves of garlic doesn't scare me, I thought it might be too much for the in-laws, so I used 15 cloves and it seemed just right. I think I could have gotten away with less oil, but I must say it was delicious. Thanks Sue L!"

"Great recipe. I'm very familiar with pineapple dressing, but the addition of dried fruit (I used cherries and nuts is really outstanding. My 8 dinner guests raved about it, but we were only able to eat slightly more than half of the entire recipe. I'd have to say this is more like 12 servings at least. Nothing wrong with leftovers, though!"

"Easy and excellent recipe. I doubled it, so used 8 oz button mushrooms and about the same amount of rehydrdated dried mushrooms. I have to point out that the number of servings is off. By doubling the recipe I should have had 12 servings, but I ended up with a total of exactly 8 cups (I guess I should have figured that out beforehand given the ..."

"Made this exactly as written and it was great. I can only imagine that fresh corn would make it better, so will try that next since corn is in season soon. Served with Grilled Strip Steaks with Horseradish Guacamole Recipe #66541, a favorite of ours."

"This is a good recipe that I'll make again. I used rice wine vinegar, and still thought the sugar was needed. Also added some pepper and salt. Next time I might try mixing half LF mayo and half LF sour cream for a little zip. Maybe add some celery seeds, too?"
