    About Me

DH is a Chef at a renowned classic French bistro in Oregon's Wilamette Valley, and I'm his foodie wife verging on gourmet groupie. On weekends I help friends sell local wild mushrooms including the exquisite Oregon White Truffle at local farmers' markets. When not dealing with food, I run my own business helping people save money on things they already buy and I conduct in-home spa parties. My theory is to put as much fun in my life as I can!

    Favorite Foods

My favorite foods vary by season. We recenly moved to Oregon from Minnesota and are astounded by Oregon's agricultural diversity. (But I still think midwest corn on the cob is way better than Oregon's!) I have to admit that DH's restaurant is my favorite. They use locally grown, seasonal foods and make everything from scratch - even the ketchup! I'm proud that DD (age 9) has sophisticated food tastes for a kid her age. She loves her mac and cheese, but also loves garlic marinated roasted green beans with new potatoes, roast beef and provolone sandwiches with pesto, aioli, and grilled onions and morel mushrooms... Mmm, doesn't that sound good?
