    About Me

Recently returned home to New Zealand after 20 years in the United States.  Little brother is a Master Chef and Gastronimist, but I cannot ask him for homebaked items, such as the best banana loaf........... plus, I prefer to find out on my own, with help from sites such as this.  I live alone, so my neighbours are my guinea pigs whenever I'm testing a new recipe.  I look forward to being part of this community.  Cheers, Toni.

    Favorite Foods

Asian fare, from having lived in Taichung a couple of times, and having a Chinese sister-in-law.  But Thai food seems to take precedence in my list of favourites.  Also, traditional Kiwi food - roast mutton with all the veges and gravy (and homemade mint sauce); cottage pie (beef) or shepherds pie (lamb); any chicken dish, pretty much, at all..... and puddings.  I'm a deft hand at pulling off a great pudding with little or no notice.
