@chefdr.pepper
I have been a chef for a better part of 20 years, and I love food. So much so that I married an absolutely beautiful Portorican/Italian certified pastry chef. We both have traveled all over the world to include south america, europe, southwest asia(afghanistan, Uzbeckistan), the south pacific, etc. We have tried foods from all over the globe and the one thing that we both have noticed is that Americans are missing out when it comes to good food. You know when you are told the best food in an area is one of a thousand name brand restaurants that you are in trouble. Yes the consistancy is there, but the originality is always lacking. Next time when you have a choice of a Chili's, The Spaghetti Factory, or a Mom and Pop bodega, choose the bodega and expand your horizons, challenge your pallet, and you may just find out that you have discovered another favorite food.
